What is a vlog? Come check out Jennifer Priest’s new vlog!

Last year I really wanted to start a daily vlog. I finally got up the nerve to start recording on November 15, 2015. Quickly, I got behind on editing and not one vlog was published in 2015. Since I was starting off 2016 with goals and new routines, why not work in a daily vlog?

I published my first two vlogs yesterday. The vlog for the previous day will be shared on the following day. For example, yesterday's vlog for January 3, 2015 will be published today.

Since my vlogging channel is so new on YouTube, I don't have to ability to schedule the vlogs just yet, but once I do, I will stick to a set time for publishing them every day. SUBSCRIBE to my channel so you can be the first to see my vlogs as they publish.

So what is on a vlog? What is a VLOG?

A vlog is a video blog or video log. It can be for any period of time but most ‘vloggers” post a new vlog daily.

Vlogs can be about anything you want! The most successful vlogs tell a story. Travel vlogs are also popular because they show exotic places, foods, and experiences. Many vlogs show behind-the-scenes shots, daily life, business, and even offer insights into the vlogger's world.

Casey Neistat's Vlog – I love the way Casey films his vlogs and all the insights he shares. he makes viewers feel like they are his friends. Casey Neitstat on YouTube

Shaytards – I don't watch the Shaytards but they are one of the most successful and original vloggers on YouTube. Shaytards

Fun For Louis – Louis travels the world and shares his adventures. Watch Fun For Louis.

Tyler Oakley – besides being all around class act (he was an absolute gem when I asked him for a photo at NMX), Tyler vlogs about humans rights and life. Follow Tyler Oakley here.

Colleen Ballinger (aka Miranda Sings) – Colleen is the talent behind Miranda Sings. Check out her vlog for behind the scenes, her life as a newlywed, and more. PsychoSoprano on YouTube

 

Sooooo, last night at the Podcast Awards, THIS happened. My daughter, Katie, LOVES Tyler Oakley and when I saw he was here at #nmx at the Podcast Awards, I thought I'd try to get a photo with him for her. See, she always talks about what he is doing and how awesome his videos are, etc like DAILY. He is inspiring her to blog, make videos, and more, even more so than her blogger mom. Go fig! Lol I told him why I wanted to get a photo, for Katie, and he made a video greeting just for her! He even let me record it!!!!! I'll keep that one in my pocket for her 😉 but he also took this picture with me. Class act, super sweet… he just made Katie even MORE of a Super Fan and now he has a new Super Fan in me.
