This year I decided to finally dress up with a costume! I started watching Miranda Sings and think she is totally hilarious, then I got a chance to meet her at VidCon and well, I knew what my costume was gonna be. This costume is SUPER easy to make and will be hilarious to everyone who knows MirandaSings. And those who don't well, they're haters!
So here is my version of a Miranda Sings costume. Yes, I am plus size and way shorter than Colleen so whatev. I think that makes it funnier! A whole family of Miranda Sings would be even better! This post has affiliate links in it to help you buy the stuff you need to make this costume a reality plus they pay me a few pennies when you buy stuff.
How to make a Miranda Sings Costume:
You're gonna need a few basic elements to make a Miranda Sings costume. First, decide which of her looks to emulate. I went for the cat sweater with red “haters back off” sweatpants.I made the sweatpants different because Miranda Sings sells the originals so if you want those, just go buy them from her HERE.
I'll admit these look terrible on my lumpy butt but hey, it's a costume.
Next, you need the sweatshirt. I found mine online at Amazon (see the links at the end for supplies) and got the fabric at Hobby Lobby. Yes, they have CAT FABRIC! You'll only need 1/4 yard of each.
You also need Crocs. Now I have green ones but Miranda Sings wears pink ones. I am not buying more Crocs because they are the ugliest shoes ever only behind Uggs. You also need puffy paint to trim out those cat appliques on the sweatshirt.
You'll need make up and a hairdo. This is a really high skill look so pay close close attention to all the details:
And finally, you'll need a copy of Miranda Sings' book “Selp Helf” to help you get through the night and learn how to wipe.
For real: “Selp Helf” on Amazon.
Stressed out? That's okay, I made a video for you to show how to make this very complicated and serious costume that every mirfanda will be wearing this year.
