Cilantro Rice Recipe

Great for burrito bowls or as an alternative to arroz rojo.


  • 2 cups white rice
  • 2.5 cups water
  • 1 TBSP Knorr Caldo De Pollo
  • 1 small white onion, diced
  • 3/4 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 1/2 TBSP butter


  1. Melt butter in a saucepan.
  2. Add onions and cook until transparent.
  3. Add rice and stir to coat in butter. Cook on high, stirring constantly, until the rice has a nutty smell and is toasted but not burnt.
  4. Add water and chicken bouillon powder, stirring well to blend.
  5. Reduce heat to low and cover. Cook for 20 minutes.
  6. Add cilantro and stir until warmed. Serve.
