Hat Box Ghost in Disney’s Haunted Mansion

Have you been to Disneyland's Haunted Mansion lately? The Hat Box Ghost is here! Traditionally there have been 999 “haunts” in the Haunted Mansion but now there is one more. I captured him here on Mother's Day, the day after the new addition to the Haunted Mansion opened again. I was super lucky to have my phone out and be able to capture a photo. It goes by pretty fast! Be ready right after the widow who kills her spouses – the Hat Box Ghost will appear on the right hand side before you decline down into the cemetary:

The hatbox ghost lives!! Sorry for the bad photo but it's kinda dark in here. Lol This guy is NEW at the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland… right after the bride. Hope you see him soon! #DisneySide #disneyland #hauntedmansion

From what I can tell, it looks like Fresh Baked Disney had the best video of the Hat box ghost – you'll want to start this vid way at the very end because that is where the Hat box Ghost appears:

We spent Mother's Day at the Disneyland Resort and Disney's California Adventure. Since the Tinkerbell marathon was going on this weekend, the Park was crowded but the crowds thinned out around 8pm. There weren;t as many little kids this time though so we were able to get our photos with several characters, like vintage Mickey Mouse:

Disneyland was all decked out in decor for the upcoming 60th Anniversary Celebration, officially starting on May 22nd. Check out the theme this year, as seen on the ticket booths and Cinderella's Castle:

One of our new favorite things to do is ride Autpoia during the fireworks display just before 9pm. It's super fun to see the fireworks from the cars and there's virtually no line. This Sunday, we rode Autopia two times in a row with absolutely no wait! What is your favorite ride?

Are you a big Disney fan?

Be sure to follow me on Instagram where I'll be sharing more Disney fun during this year of Disneyland's 60th Anniversary celebration! I also have a post coming up on how to feed a family of 4 at Disneyland Resort for less than $20 per person so watch for that coming soon.
