Earlier this year I tried Suavitel® Fragrance Pearls™ for the first time. WOW! I was absolutely surprised by how easy they were to use and my family loved the long lasting scent on their clothes. The scent lasts on any fabric, including bedding and stuffed animals! I have a favorite theme park sweatshirt that I wear everywhere and for weeks after washing it with Suavitel® Fragrance Pearls™, I received multiple compliments about how nice I smelled.  It dawned me that as moms, we don't always treat ourselves with scent. Why not have a nice comfy sweatshirt, blanket, or even stuffed animal that you can snuggle up with, take a deep breath of relaxing lavender scent, and just escape for a moment? I seriously need to escape ALOT of moments in my laundry room! I'm in the middle of revamping my laundry room and my laundry routine so it's a good time to add Suavitel® Fragrance Pearls™ and Suavitel® Liquid Fabric Conditioner to my laundry repertoire for practical reasons and as a momentary scent treat during a busy day.

Use Suavitel Fragrance Pearls to freshen clothes, bedding, and stuffed animals with a long lasting scent.

As part of the revamp, I made covers for my washing machine and dryer to help protect the tops of the machines while I add the products we use for the laundry, like Suavitel's in-wash boosters and clothespins, on trays that I keep on top of the machines. I'll be sharing how I made those covers on my blog, tomorrow. Using the quilted fabric was a bit of a homage to my grandma, the one who taught me to sew. The antique iron in the photo is from her as well; I use it as a door stop for the laundry-to-garage door on hot days when I am folding clothes. The kids are always leaving things in their pockets, like coins, jewelry, and Legos, so the cloth covers protect my laundry machines from being scratched by these little items as I pile them up before doing laundry. Because they're cloth, I can wash these covers with Suavitel® Fragrance Pearls™ and Suavitel Liquid fabric Conditioner so that they'll not only be clean but also give off a pleasing scent while I fold clothes on them. I can't wait until we're done with the laundry room renovation so I can actually use this space better. I plan on painting the walls a crisp white to help it feel very clean. We'll also be adding cabinets above the washer and dryer to hold towels and cleaning products. I had been using an Ikea kitchen island in the laundry room for storage but I moved it into my craft room (you can see it in my latest craft room tour video) to make room for a chest freezer we had to buy when we bought half a pig. Yeah,we're that family. Half a cow is on its way to us in 2 weeks! Seriously, it's the only way we can afford to do paleo and with the hot summers, putting the freezer in the garage is not an option. I also sewed a cover for that chest freezer, allowing us to now stack laundry baskets on top without scratching the lid up. The whole room has a lovely lavender scent thanks to washing these covers in Suavitel® Fragrance Pearls™!

Freshen bedding and stuffed toys with Suavitel Fragrance Pearls for a long lasting scent, even when line-dried.

Not only are we redoing our laundry room, we're cleaning up other parts of the house to get ready for summer vacation with the kids. We just got done cleaning out Matt's entire room. We literally took everything out, cleaned, and then choosily put a select few toys back in the room. Of course, he had to keep all of his favorite stuffed animals and bears. I tried to get rid of the ones with stuffing falling out of them but he came to me crying about his “favorite foxy” that he “spent his own money on at Magic Mountain” and well, I caved. Eighteen stuffed animals it is, including five bears and one monkey. I guess he could be crying over other things so a stuffed fox isn't so bad.

Use a window flower box to hold stuffed toys inside the house.

We installed a window basket for flowers at the base of his window on the inside and used that to store his stuffed animals. They had gotten dusty and the cats have made beds out of the stuffed animals so we decided they needed a good washing. I ran the stuffed animals on the gentle cycle in the wash with Suavitel® Fragrance Pearls™ and then hung them to dry on the line. Next, I ran them in the dryer on low for about 10 minutes to fluff them. The lavender scent is naturally soothing, helping Matt fall asleep as he snuggles his stuffed animals each night. I love that we can use Suavitel® Fragrance Pearls™ in the wash, whether we use the dryer or not.

Hang Stuffed toys on the line after washing.

When I was a kid, my mom and grandmothers both hung linens and even clothes on the line to dry, even though they all had clothes dryers. I was mortified in high school, putting on crunchy shirts that were line dried stiff due to our hard water.  If it was cold out and my mom started the wood stove, I not only had scratchy, crunchy clothes to wear but I also smelled like a campfire. Joy! The reason my mom used the line was that it is cheaper than running the dryer but also, the sun has natural disinfecting qualities, essentially making line dried clothes “cleaner”. I don't know if their being smoky made them cleaner (ha!) but I can tell you that I notice a smell to my clothes if I keep washing them in the machine and drying them in the dryer. A good dry out on the line every now and then is great, especially for towels and bed linens. That's one of those old wives tales, tradition things that actually seems to have some truth in it.

Make Suavitel a part of your laundry routine for long lasting scent on fabrics.

I have hard water in my current town and stiff clothes have been a concern when I need to line dry things. When I washed all of our bed linens last weekend, I added Suavitel® Fragrance Pearls™ and Suavitel® liquid Fabric Conditioner to the wash before hanging the bedding out to dry. I was so surprised that after hanging on the line to dry all day, the linens still had Suavitel's wonderful lavender scent. The scent has lasted all week long! I was pleased to learn that the scent of Suavitel® Fragrance Pearls™ lasts 5x longer than using detergent alone. I can't wait to try Suavitel® Fragrance Pearls™ in Fabulous Field Flowers, the other scent besides the Soothing Lavender scent I'm currently using.

Find Suavitel in Walmart, in the laundry aisle.

You can find Suavitel® Fragrance Pearls™ and liquid Fabric Conditioner at your local Walmart store in the laundry care aisle. Right now, select Suavitel® liquid Fabric Conditioners will include Suavitel® Fragrance Pearls™ samples so you can try them out! I know you will love them for your laundry and your family will too.

I will have to try those. I get something now from Scentsy called “wiffs,” and I really like them for the sheets I use to cover our couches since the dogs like to sit on the couches. However, it’s pretty pricey and a pain to have to order all the time. It would be nice to have something I can just pick up at most stores.

I love the pearls, however I have never heard of Suavitel before now, looks like I know what new brand of pearls I am going to try! I agree hanging clothes on the line and having to wear crunchy clothes is not fun (mine were always levi’s) LOL I love the idea of hanging up the stuffed animals using some clothes pins and out on the clothes line! Stuffed Animals always get so dirty what a great way to clean them and make them smell fresh again.

I really need to do the same to my son’s room. I’ve never seen their scent pearls but I love the smell of their fabric softener. I will keep my eye out for them. I think the pearls would make a nice addition to scenting homemade laundry detergent as well. 🙂

This is awesome! I’ll have to try this out the next time I’m at the store. My nephews are really hard on their clothes and their stuffed animals so it would be perfect for them.

We love suavitel! it always reminds me of my mom.
I like the idea of the window basket for stuffed animals! I have to do the same for my youngest kid, she has way too many stuffed animal toys. Some of them I will donate, but I have to keep the ones she says are her favorites.
