The Best EASY Guacamole Recipe
The easiest guacamole recipe ever will have you totally laughing at the secret ingredient. But once you taste it, you'll know why we call it the “best easy guacamole recipe for bad cooks”! To make this killer guac, you literally need a weird spice mix that every Mexican has in their kitchen …
Xaver's Secret Spice Easy Guacamole Recipe
The secret to Xaver's Guacamole is Menudo Mix spices. Yeah! One time we were having a party and ran out of all the right spices to make our guac … but we had Menudo Mix. Menudo mix has alot of the same flavors as the spices we'd usually put in guacamole. If you think about the spices that go into a fancy tableside guacamole at your favorite Mexican food restaurant, you'll find cumin, oregano, dried garlic and many of the other spices found in a store bought menudo mix. So why not?
Xaver added the menudo mix to fork crushed avocados, added some chopped cilantro and lime juice, and BAM! A new, super easy, fool-proof recipe for guacamole was born. This guacamole is easy to make on the go and packs a powerful punch of flavor great on chips, on tacos, and even on eggs for breakfast. The menudo mix is full of traditional Mexican flavors that are unexpected in a basic guacamole but taste totally amazing!
For tailgating ease, roll 3 paper towels into a cone, fill with tortilla chips, and then put a dollop of guacamole on top to eat on the go! You can pre-make paper cones for a party for chips and guacamole or serve the guacamole in a bowl with a platter of chips.

Hi Jennifer, while I did grow up in California with lots of Mexican cuisine, I never knew about menudo, so thanks! In middle eastern cooking, which is of course the influence in Israel, there are also many spice mixes and you can find separate mixes for cooking fish, chicken and ground meat patties. The Moroccan version is called ras el hanout (head, meaning best, of the shop) and can consist of 30 different spices, so it is generally purchased from the spice store whose mix you love! Thanks so much for sharing on craft schooling Sunday!
Those spice mixes sound awesome 🙂
Hi Jennifer! Can you post the menudo recipe? It sounds delish! Mexican food is my favorite, and I seem to be obsessed with avocados for some reason. My girls won’t touch them, but I can’t get enough! Hahaha! Thank you for sharing. Take care, Kim 🙂
Hello, I don’t have a menudo recipe 😉 “menudo mix” is a spice mix you can get off the shelf in the spice section of most grocery stores. HTH
