Superhero Halloween Snacks – Captain America Pizza Quesadillas + Cool Grape S’mores Stacks #AvengersUnite

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #AvengersUnite #CollectiveBias We are super excited about the October 2nd Blu-Ray/DVD release of MARVEL's The Avengers: Age of Ultron and when I saw MARVEL themed snacks at our local Walmart, I knew my snack ideas would not only be great for Halloween but also for a movie viewing party! Since MARVEL's The Avengers movies are all about the superheroes uniting together, why not have a get together for Halloween or movie night with MARVEL's The Avengers themed snacks!? Before your superheroes head out into the night, fuel up with MARVEL Avengers snacks! We always have a little get together here at my house before we go trick-or-treating and carve pumpkins. We like to fill the kids up with a high-protein healthy snack that has a fun twist.

These two snack ideas will be loved by all the superheroes in your clan and they are party friendly – prep them and then leave them out on plates for everyone to snack on throughout the night. I created two versions of  my Captain America Pizza Quesadillas, including an adult vegetarian quesadilla, plus Cool Grape S'mores Stacks using MARVEL Avengers snacks from Walmart. Set up a bar with all the ingredients for the kids to make the quesadillas to order or you can prepare the Captain America Quesadillas ahead of time and serve them on a party platter.

Here are the various fillings we added in our Quesadillas:

Vegetarian Pizza Quesadillas:

  • MARVEL Avengers String Cheese
  • Sliced olives
  • Grilled peppers and onions

To make the finished quesadillas look like Captain America's shield, I used a cookie cutter to cut stars from ham slices, grilled the slices, and then laid them in the center of the circular quesadillas. Cut out and grill a corn tortilla star for the center of the Vegetarian Pizza Quesadillas to keep them vegetarian friendly.

Here's how to make each version of these Pizza Quesadillas:

We also made some fun “cold” s'mores using MARVEL Avengers Grapes and MARVEL Chewy Granola Bars. The granola bars have a hint of peanut butter in them as well as chocolate chips. S'mores are a family favorite but kind of messy to do indoors so these “cold s'mores” are a great movie night snack.

Cut Granola Bars MARVEL for Snacks JPriest

To make these Cool Grape S'mores Stacks cut a MARVEL Chewy Granola Bar into 5 pieces, about 3/4″ wide. Pierce one MARVEL Avengers Grape with a toothpick and stick into the granola bar chunk. These s'mores stacks have all the flavor of s'mores with a fruity twist from the grape. Add a marshmallow to the stack to really get the s'mores flavor going! And what's great is these can easily be arranged on a platter so the kids can eat them during the movie without making a mess.

I picked up everything I needed for our Halloween snacks and Matthew's Halloween costume at our local Walmart.
  • MARVEL Avengers or Spiderman string cheese (12 pack)
  • MARVEL Avengers grapes
  • MARVEL Chewy granola bars

Costumes and MARVEL Avengers at Walmart JPriest

The details on the MARVEL Avengers costumes at Walmart are incredible! We were able to get this “muscle” Captain American costume for Matthew for less than the cost to make it plus it included a mask, a clip on shield (you can see that on one of the photos above), and more. We also picked up some fingerless gloves from the same display in Walmart to complete the Captain America costume. They make eating snacks and carving pumpkins extra easy for superheroes!

I'd say “Captain America” approves of these snacks and this message! Be sure to check out all the fun MARVEL character costumes and snacks at your local Walmart. I would love to hear about your MARVEL Halloween dress up plans.
