Three things you MUST try at Bruxie

We finally went to Bruxie – Gourmet Waffle Sandwiches! On our way to Disneyland we stopped by the Bruxie in Brea, CA, after hearing rave reviews from my friends Tammy and Tricia. What was all the hubbub about anyways? On this edition of Saturdays In So Cal, we share the three things you must try at Bruxie!

We ordered:

  • The Elvis  – bacon, bananas, and peanut butter in a waffle sandwich
  • Green Eggs and Ham – eggs and ham with pesto sauce in a waffle sandwich
  • Chicken & Waffles – fried chicken with sriracha syrup in a waffle sandwich

I honestly love how everything has a super cute and fun name. The restaurant is little more than a stand with a few tables and chairs. I am all for keeping it simple and keeping costs down. That said, this meal was not cheap. It did however, feed a family of four.

We cut all of the sandwiches into quarters and shared so everyone could have a taste. My favorite was the Green Eggs & Ham and the Elvis. Katie liked the Chicken & Waffles. Matthew liked Chicken & Waffles and the Elvis. Xaver liked the Green Eggs & Ham best. We left with full bellies, ready to take on Disneyland for the next 12 hours!

Bruxie currently has 7 locations in Southern California:

I hear Bruxie also has great fries… we'll have to try those on our next trip. What's your favorite thing to eat at Bruxie? And if you haven't tried it yet, do you think you'd try one of our favorites?

Thanks so much for stopping by today.
