All week long we are sharing Minions birthday party ideas that you can make right now for a premiere party for the movie or for a birthday party. This DIY birthday banner can be made for any party but I created it to perfectly match my Minions birthday party. To change the theme of the banner, simply change the colors of the paper used and the words on the banner. I used the Sizzix eclips2 to create this fun banner with extra long pennants using a shape from Basic Grey and the Sizzix eShape store. I love the festive look of the long pennants!
I really love how this banner looks with the pom pom garlands and crepe paper garlands we shared earlier this week – click here to see the full video tutorial for the pom pom garlands. This banner comes together lickety split due to it being glued to a piece of ribbon, rather than stitched together like banners I've made in the past. Here's how to create this fun banner at home with the Sizzix eclips2 Electronic Cutting System:
To create this banner, you'll need the following supplies:
Be sure to come back here to Just JP to see more projects for this Minions Birthday party, including recipes for snacks and more. We put this entire party spread together for under $70! I'll share the full breakdown when we do the full party reveal in a couple of days.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!!
I love these! Makes me wish my daughter’s birthday was coming sooner. Ah, well. Maybe I’ll just do a “Happy Minion 4th of July!” lol!
Gotta love those MInions! The banner is super cute! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
hugs,
Jann
